DNAP - Dun & Bradstreet Asia-Pacific

Content

Dun & Bradstreet's directory of companies in the Far East, South
Asia and the Pacific Basin.

Dun & Bradstreet, the world's leading supplier of business
information, offers its Asia-Pacific File on DataStar as DNAP.
he database includes company name, address, telephone and fax
numbers, 1987 US SIC and local classification codes for line of
business. Additionally, the following information may be
available: number of employees, year of foundation, sales, profit
and net worth figures in local currency and US dollars, senior
management names, and corporate ownership.

Countries represented in DNAP are: American Samoa, Australia,
Bangladesh, Brunei, Burma, Caroline Islands, China (PR), Christmas
Island, Cook Islands, Fiji, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia,
Japan, Kiribati, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Marianas Islands,
Marshall Islands, Nauru, Nepal, New Zealand, Norfolk Island,
Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Solomon
Islands, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Tahiti, Taiwan, Thailand, Tonga,

- must have a business name
- must have a valid address (physical OR mailing)
- must have a valid SIC ocde (not '0000' or '9999')
- must not have delist status

Use DNAP to:
- identify where your sales efforts should concentrate
- locate new materials and new sources of supply
- foster trading links with increasingly important markets
- sharpen strategic planning and expansion targets
- identify heavy-engineering companies based in Bangladesh, India,
Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Sources:
Data is collected and verified in each country, from government
statistical offices and other official organisations, and by
direct communication with the companies themselves. Further
research by Dun & Bradstreet, cross-checked against extensive
central records ensures the most reliable data possible from each
country for inclusion in the database.

Notes on DNAP

AD - Sub-paragraphs ST, LO, SC, CN
Addresses may appear differently from country to country, eg.
some countries like Fiji do not include province names (SC) in
their addresses. In cases like this, the sub-paragraph is omitted.

AD - Language of address information
Street (ST), town/city location (LO) and state/province (SC)
information are given in the local language. The country (CN) is
always given in English.

MA - Mailing address
Use the MA paragraph for displaying the mailing addresses of
companies. For those companies where this is identical to its
physical address, the physical address is repeated here.

C. Terms Which Apply to Both End Users and Information
Professionals

1. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE AMOUNT YOU PAY TO DATASTAR FOR THE
INFORMATION RECEIVED FROM D&B WILL IN MOST INSTANCES

PROJECT, TASK OR FUNCTION FOR WHICH THE INFORMATION WILL BE
USED. YOU ALSO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE TYPE OF INFORMATION TO
BE PROVIDED BY D&B TO DATASTAR AND FURNISHED TO YOU WILL
CONTAIN A DEGREE OF ERROR. FINALLY, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE
PRICES WHICH D&B CHARGES DATASTAR FOR INFORMATION ARE BASED,

IN THE CASE OF AN INFORMATION PROFESSIONAL). FOR THESE

THAT ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED BY D&B TO DATASTAR AND
FURNISHED TO YOU IS SUFFICIENTLY ACCURATE FOR YOUR PURPOSES.
NEITHER D&B NOR DATASTAR MAKES ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR
WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND WITH RESPECT TO THE INFORMATION,
INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ITS CORRECTNESS,
COMPLETENESS, CURRENTNESS, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR WITH RESPECT TO THE MEDIA ON WHICH THE
INFORMATION IS PROVIDED AND NEITHER D&B NOR DATASTAR SHALL
BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR INJURY ARISING OUT OF OR CAUSED,
IN WHOLE OR IN PART, BY D&B'S OR DATASTAR'S NEGLIGENT ACTS
OR OMISSIONS IN REPORTING, COMMUNICATING OR DELIVERING THE
INFORMATION, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, TO YOU.

2. YOU AGREE THAT NEITHER D&B NOR DATASTAR WILL BE LIABLE FOR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF
SUCH DAMAGES.

3. IF, NOTWITHSTANDING PARAGRAPHS 2 AND 3 ABOVE, LIABILITY CAN
BE IMPOSED ON D&B AND/OR DATASTAR, THEN YOU AGREE THAT D&B'S
AND DATASTAR'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY, IF ANY, FOR ANY AND ALL
LOSSES OR INJURIES TO YOU (AND/OR YOUR CUSTOMER IN THE CASE
OF AN INFORMATION PROFESSIONAL) ARISING OUT OF ANY ACTS OR
OMISSIONS OF D&B AND/OR DATASTAR IN CONNECTION WITH ANYTHING
TO BE DONE OR FURNISHED HEREUNDER, REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE
OF THE LOSS OR INJURY (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) AND REGARDLESS
OF THE EQUITABLE RIGHT CLAIMED TO HAVE BEEN VIOLATED, SHALL
NEVER EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SERVICES
FURNISHED HEREUNDER DURING THE PREVIOUS TWELVE MONTH PERIOD
OR US$ 5,000.- EQUIVALENT, WHICHEVER IS GREATER, AND YOU
COVENANT AND PROMISE THAT YOU WILL NOT SUE D&B AND/OR
DATASTAR FOR AN AMOUNT GREATER THAN SUCH SUM AND THAT YOU
WILL NOT SEEK PUNITIVE DAMAGES IN ANY SUIT AGAINST D&B
AND/OR DATASTAR.
