   Pharma Marketing Service (PMS) is the online version of the weekly
   information and research service for pharmaceutical professionals.
   
   Pharma Marketing Service focuses on all the topics needed in
   pharmaceutical marketing including advertising, public relations and
   sales promotion. News is reported on companies, markets, products,
   health policy, medical science and pharmacology. Used by
   professionals in the pharmaceutical industry as well as in research
   institutes, trade associations, advertising agencies and
   consultancies, DPMS provides valuable data for market development
   and companies' financial news.
   
   DPMS concentrates on news from Western Europe (which accounts for
   about 50% of the database), USA (25%), Eastern Europe (15%) and
   Japan (5%). Simple in structure, DPMS documents contain the full
   text of the articles from the hard copy together with titles,
   information categories and descriptors to facilitate subject
   searches. The database is in German.
   
   Use DPMS to answer questions like:
   - what are the laws on TV advertising for pharmaceuticals?
   - what is the state of the Irish pharmaceutical industry?
   - how did Merck (Darmstadt) perform in 1993?
   - are there any clinical studies of an Organon product which
     reduces the neurotoxic side effects of cisplatin?
   
   Sources:
   A team of editors draws news from 200 international newpapers and
   scientific and economic journals. In addition, news from the
   producer's own correspondents, and news from press releases of
   pharmaceutical companies, government agencies and national and
   international organizations is included.

     Das   von  Du  Pont  entwickelte  Transplant-Konservierungsmittel
     Viaspan  hat  in den USA die Zulassung erhalten. Die neue Loesung
     verlaengert  nach Angaben des Unternehmen die Zeitspanne, die bei
     der  Uebertragung  einer  Leber oder Bauchspeicheldruese zwischen
     der  Entnahme  beim  Spender und der Implantation beim Empfaenger
     eingehalten  werden  muss, auf das Dreifache. Diese Spanne betrug
     bisher  acht Stunden. Die Loesung koenne auch die Erhaltungsdauer
     bei zu transplantierenden Nieren auf bis zu 40 Stunden erweitern.
     In  den  USA und in Europa wird Viaspan ab Juni erhaeltlich sein.
     Zur  Zeit  fuehrt  Du  Pont  weitere  Forschungen  durch,  um  zu
     ermitteln,   ob   die  Loesung  auch  fuer  andere  Spenderorgane
     eingesetzt werden kann.
