Kompass is a directory file that provides information for
approximately 2.6 million companies in 65 countries with an emphasis
on manufacturing, industrial, and associated service sectors.
Product names are displayed and are searchable in English, German,
French, Spanish and Italian. KPWO & KPEU each have separate sub
files for each language: KPEU displays the product classification
in English; KPEG in German; KPEF in French; KPES in Spanish & KPEI
in Italian. KPWO displays the product classification in English;
KPWG in German; KPWF in French; KPWS in Spanish & KPWI in Italian.
Most records include standard business information, including names
of key executives with their positions. Product and service
descriptions are provided using the detailed Kompass classification
system consisting of approximately 57,000 product/service
descriptions and corresponding codes. Foreign trade status at the
product level provides key import and export information.
Use KPWO & KPEU to find:

- Companies in New Zealand which bank with WestpacTrust
- Sales Managers of companies that distribute clothing
manufacturing machinery.

Kompass classification codes.

The same list is available in French, German, Italian, and Spanish;
change the language name at the end of the URL accordingly.
The same classification code is used even though companies are
involved in unrelated aspects of the same business. For example,
one company may be the distributor of a product, whereas another may
be the producer of that same product. Both will indicate the same
code, but the qualifier term will be different. You can make this
distinction by searching as e.g.:

Note that the qualifier terms appear in English in all of the
