international literature on all aspects of leisure, recreation
and tourism.
CAB Tourism & Leisure contains informative abstracts in English
of the significant literature on leisure, recreation, tourism,
hospitality and sport. Full bibliographic details are included
with each abstract.
Subject coverage includes: sociology of leisure, natural
resources and the environment, arts and entertainment, travel,
park management, tourism and the environment, destination
marketing, international tourism, recreation provision,
public/private sector partnerships, liability and risk
management, physical education, leisure centre management, water
recreation, arts funding, and leisure and urban regeneration.
TOUR will be an invaluable resource to tourism and local
authorities, government departments, researchers, and anyone
with a need for in-depth coverage of the world's literature on
tourism and leisure.

The database is the online equivalent of CAB INTERNATIONAL's
'Leisure, Recreation & Tourism Abstracts'. Approximately 300
serials and 50 books are covered each year. Additionally,
conference proceedings, theses, working papers, other bulletins
and newsletters are also abstracted.
Coverage is global: 27% from the USA; 20% from the UK; 25% from
other western European countries; 5% from Australasia; 1% from
Japan; and 20% from other countries.

AB - Abstract
Issues related to the Sava River development and its
harnessing in the City of Zagreb territory are briefly
presented. In the long run, this scheme will enable the
potable water demand of the City of Zagreb and its greater
area to be met, and the demand for food and energy to be
partly met. The scheme will also open new town planning
options in the neighbourhood of the project site, enable
preservation of natural assets and creation of new sport and
recreational amenities.

These indicate the general subject categories covered by the
document. They are designed to be used in conjunction with other
descriptor terms. Codes are hierarchical and can be searched at
two, three or four characters using the hash symbol (#) for
wider retrieval. A full list of CABICODES is given online in
BASE. Search as BASE-TOUR.
KW - Keywords:
These include terms from open-ended categories - e.g. chemical
names, organisms, specific animal breeds, etc. For pre-1984 data
non-controlled descriptor terms also appear here.
SE - Subset codes:
These codes represent the subsets used by the information
provider to create their own database products. They should not
be used as an indexing tool to search the database.
LS - Language of summary in original:
Indicates the language(s) in which the author's abstract or
summary was written, except in cases where this is the same
language as the original text of the paper.
AV - Availability:
Contains the URL of the source publication, or an order number
for obtaining a copy of the original article from CAB
INTERNATIONAL's own document delivery facility.
DO - Digital object identifier:
An alternative URL for accessing original copies of the
research. Note that you usually need to be a subscriber to
access these documents.
DT - Publication date:
It is now DataStar standard to create a an eight-digit
publication date - even if a specific date is not given. In
TOUR, this paragraph will be populated in the format YYYY0000.
